GLENROTHES MAN PETER BLANEY CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A CHILD AFTER HIS SEMEN WAS FOUND IN HER UNDERWEAR BY POLICE
A 34-year-old man from Glenrothes appeared in court facing charges of sexually assaulting a minor.
Peter Blaney appeared privately at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court to answer allegations made under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
He did not enter a plea and was remanded for further investigation.
He was also granted bail.
During the subsequent hearing, it was disclosed that DNA analysis had connected Mr.
Blaney to the assault through a semen sample recovered from inside the child’s underwear.
The individual involved was identified as a close family relative living with him at the time, with his family providing support.
