Lee Milne – Dundee

A man jailed for the death of his wife is now trying to overturn his conviction.

Lee Milne, 40, was sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of culpable homicide over the death of his wife, Kimberly Milne, 28.

Kimberly died in July 2023 after falling from a bridge onto the A90 Kingsway in Dundee, where she was hit by vehicles.

The court heard she had suffered months of abuse, including physical assaults and ongoing verbal attacks. On the day she died, Milne was reportedly shouting at her in public, throwing food, and pinning her against a wall while she was already distressed.

Judges ruled that his behaviour pushed her to breaking point and directly contributed to her death. During sentencing, Lady Drummond told him he bore responsibility for causing her death.

The case was seen as significant in Scotland, highlighting how sustained domestic abuse can be linked to a victim’s death.

Since then, Milne has also been convicted of sexually assaulting two young boys in 2024.

He has now formally lodged an appeal in an attempt to have his homicide conviction overturned.
