Sex Offender’s Long Criminal History Revealed in Court Records

Court and probation documents reveal that Terry George Peter Harrison amassed a lengthy criminal record spanning more than three decades, with convictions ranging from burglary and drug offences to violent assaults, sexual assault and repeated motoring offences.

The records show Harrison first appeared before the courts as a teenager in 1990, when he received conditional discharges for three offences of burglary and theft from non-dwelling premises.

Over the following years, he was convicted of a series of offences including possession of controlled drugs, resisting police officers, disorderly behaviour while drunk, criminal damage and cultivating cannabis.

The most serious offences arose from an incident in March 2015.

According to probation documents, Harrison was convicted at Durham Crown Court in February 2016 of sexual assault, battery, criminal damage and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).

The records state he received custodial sentences, including three years’ imprisonment for ABH and four months’ imprisonment for sexual assault, together with notification requirements as a registered sex offender and restraining orders to protect the victim.

A probation summary of the case alleges the victim, who was approximately 12 weeks pregnant, was subjected to unwanted sexual touching before being assaulted during an altercation, suffering significant bruising. The report also records allegations that a witness attempting to intervene was assaulted.

Following his release from prison, Harrison was managed under MAPPA Level 1, with licence conditions requiring him to notify probation officers of any developing personal relationships where children under the age of 18 lived within the household.

More recently he has been arrested for sexual assault and calling the 13yr old “beautiful” – he has been bailed for further investigations.
