Paul Michael Douglas – Glasgow

A violent bully that raped and abused females as young as three has been jailed

Paul Michael Douglas of Grangemouth appeared at Glasgow High Court where he was found guilty of;

– Sexual assault on a female child under 13 by penetration

– Sexual assault on a female child aged under 13

– Two counts of rape

– Assault to severe injury

– Two counts of assault and rape to injury

– Lewd and libidinous acts against children

The child victims were aged just three and seven years old.

Douglas penetrated the three year old girl for his own sexual gratification.

He sexually abused the seven year old girl with a woman present who did nothing to stop the abuse, instead turning the volume up on the TV to drown out the victims cries for help.

She witnessed further sexual abuse against the child but again chose to look the other way.

The court was told that construction worker Douglas was extremely violent and controlling against females. There were multiple attacks resulting in broken bones, bruises and cuts.

During one attack, Douglas hit the woman round the head with a frying pan. She attempted to flee, but Douglas caught her and viciously raped her.

On another occasion, he violently raped a woman just six days after she have birth. And he committed another rape when the woman pregnant for a second time. The woman went into early labour, and Douglas refused to help her to get to hospital.

Further horrendous attacks continued. He repeatedly punched a woman who was breastfeeding a six week old baby.

This week at Glasgow High Court, Douglas was sentenced to 10 years in prison

He was told that must register as a sex offender for an indefinate period

His wife has very publicly stated she supports him and stands by him. She will soon find herself in trouble after naming the victims online.

Police believe there could be other victims of this vile abuser due to his modus operandi. He grew up in Barlanark, Glasgow
