Michael Tatham – Reading

Michael Tatham of Reading, was first caught in 2017, when he showed a barmaid a video of a young girl being raped on his laptop. Police were called and found that he had collected more than 1,300 indecent images of children.

He avoided prison after admitting to being in possession of over 100 images of the most serious kind and five videos of children being sexually assaulted.

Then in 2023, Tatham was sentenced to 17 months after he was caught with more indecent images of children with over 150 classed as Category A – showing rape or sexual torture.

It was found the laptop also had a web browser capable of accessing the dark web which Tatham had used to make illegal searches.
