A paedophile that was sentenced to 10 years in 2018 after he molested two young girls has now been released

John David Griffiths was convicted of two counts of sexual assault on girls aged under 13.

His victims were aged just five and six when Griffiths violently sexually abused them.

His already lenient sentence was reduced to nine years by Lady Justice Sharp at London’s Appeal Court in 2018

During his trial, he claimed they made up the allegations in an attempt to get compensation.

Griffiths insisted to a probation officer he had no sexual interest in children and has never shown any remorse for his actions

He will return to Brandon in Durham
