A paedophile who poses a “high risk” of harm to post-pubescent girls is back living in Bradford under the different name of ‘David Cheng’
In 2012, and then called David Betts – he was sentenced to a three-and-a-half year extended prison sentence after he admitted a string of indecent assaults on a vulnerable schoolgirl.
Betts manipulated the girl into performing sex acts on him on a regular basis in return for rewards – which included cigarettes, money and alcohol.
When Betts was arrested, Betts suggested to police in interview that his victim had been promiscuous and said he thought he would “jump on the band wagon”.
In the interview, the court heard, Betts said he found the girl attractive and liked younger girls, who were aged 14 to 15.
In 2015, he was jailed again after he had been frequently entertaining youngsters at his house.
