Charlie Davies, owner of Velocity Strength and Fitness in Marsham, was arrested on 05/02/2025 following a sustained and violent assault on his ex partner.
He was remanded in custody and charged with coercive and controlling behaviour, assault by beating x2, non-fatal strangulation x2, ABH, false imprisonment and criminal damage. He initially pleaded not guilty.
In September 2025, while on bail, he was re-arrested and remanded after assaulting a new partner.
According to court information, he later changed his pleas to guilty to the following offences:
▪︎ Engaging in controlling / coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship
▪︎ Assault by beating x2
▪︎ Criminal damage (under £5,000)
▪︎ Assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm
On 17th February 2026 he was sentenced to a total of 36 months imprisonment.
