Norfolk man jailed after ‘depraved’ fantasy over girl

A ‘depraved’ man persuaded a woman to send him photographs of her 11-year-old daughter in the bath, a court has heard.

Bradley Moore – who has been jailed for 18 months – had been messaging the woman but quickly turned the conversation to her daughter, who cannot be identified for legal reasons.

The 31-year-old repeatedly demanded the photos, which were eventually sent to him.

Norwich Crown Court also heard that he told the woman he wanted to have sex with her and her daughter in the same bed.

Moore engaged in the conversations while he was already on bail in connection with other sex offences.

He had lent his phone to a friend who discovered indecent images on it and reported it to his brother, a police officer.

A total of 73 category A images – the most serious – 89 category B images and 86 category C images were found on the device.

Andrew Bousfield, prosecuting, said Moore, of Recorder Road, Norwich, had shared hundreds of messages with the woman, between November 29, 2024, and December 18.

Moore admitted intentionally engaging in or assisting in the commission of an offence, by encouraging another to take naked photos of a child.

He also admitted three counts of making indecent images of a child. The offences occurred between January 2023 and December 2024.

Jailing Moore for 18 months, Judge Anthony Bate said the conversations between the pair had been “utterly depraved” while the images on Moore’s phone had depicted “vile abuse” of very young children.

Martin Ivory, mitigating, said Moore, had become involved in “quite significant drug abuse” as a result of a “troubled” childhood where his mother died when he was young and he also suffered abuse.

Mr Ivory said the conversations were “sexual fantasy and nothing more than that”.

Moore was made the subject of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and also put on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
