Ashley Pringle – Musselburgh, Scotland

A Musselburgh woman has been placed on supervision after she admitted taking Class A drugs while she was in charge of looking after a child.
Ashley Pringle also instructed the child to attack police officers when they attended at her home on Links Avenue last October.

The incident also saw 34-year-old Pringle shout and swear at the officers, and attempt to flee the flat by trying to climb out of a window.

She was eventually apprehended and was cautioned and charged with the neglect of the child.

Pringle admitted to wilfully exposing the child in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury to health by consuming cocaine in their presence and repeatedly instructing the child to attack police officers on October 23 last year.

Sheriff Stewart sentenced the woman to pay a fine of £270 and placed her under the supervision of the social work department for the next 12 months.
