Angelos Ntolakai – Kent

A teenager who was raped after falling asleep at a Halloween party has finally seen her attacker put behind bars — FOUR years after police first arrested him.

Greek national Angelos Ntolakai, 23, forced himself on the girl and held her down during the attack at a party in Ramsgate, Kent, on October 29, 2022.

The victim had become unwell during the Halloween gathering and went to sleep in a friend’s bed.

But what should have been a safe place to recover became the scene of a violent rape.

After the attack, the teenager told a friend what had happened and Kent Police were called. Officers attended the property and detectives launched an investigation.

DNA evidence helped police identify Ntolakai, a Greek national from Manston Road, Ramsgate, and he was arrested on March 15, 2023.

When questioned by detectives, Ntolakai answered “no comment” to every question.

But investigators continued building their case.

Videos and photographs taken at the party provided further crucial evidence, helping detectives place Ntolakai at the scene at the time of the rape.

Ntolakai later claimed his memory of the night was poor because he had been drinking alcohol. He maintained that if sexual activity had taken place, it would have been consensual.

He denied rape and forced his victim to endure the ordeal of a four-day trial at Canterbury Crown Court.

But the jury rejected his account.

They returned a unanimous guilty verdict.

On Thursday, September 17, Ntolakai was finally sentenced to five years and seven months behind bars.

He will also remain on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
