The former owner of multiple businesses across Swindon and Wiltshire has been jailed for over four years after sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl.

Kyle Holmes, 34, of Eider Avenue in Lyneham, pleaded guilty to four counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 17 and three counts of inciting a girl aged 13 to 17 to engage in sexual activity.

These charges relate to a period between May 30, 2025 and November 21, 2025.

At a previous hearing, he pleaded not guilty to five other offences, relating to the same victim.

However, these charges were withdrawn on Thursday, May 7, meaning he would not have to face trial and the court could proceed to sentence.

Appearing for sentencing at Swindon Crown Court on Wednesday, May 27, the former businessman was jailed for a total custodial period of 52 months.

Judge Townsend imposed a 20-year sexual harm prevention order and Holmes will be on the sex offender’s register indefinitely.
