Marc Gothorp, aged 45, of Carram Way, Lincoln, was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on 15/05/2026 after pleading guilty to offences involving children under 13.
These included three counts of arranging or facilitating the rape of a child under 13, making indecent images of children (Categories A, B and C) and distributing Category A indecent images.
Gothorp was arrested by officers from Lincolnshire Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) on 05/11/2025.
He was sentenced to a custodial sentence of 10 years, made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and classified by the court as a dangerous offender.
The investigation was conducted jointly by Lincolnshire Police Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) and the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU).
