Paul Ladd – Norwich

Paul Ladd, 46, of Norwich, Larkman area (with links to Lowestoft)

In 2006, Paul Ladd, then aged 27, appeared before Lowestoft Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to assault and criminal damage.

The court heard that after returning home from a children’s nativity play, an argument began and escalated into violence. Ladd grabbed his partner at the top of the stairs, threw her down the staircase and repeatedly kicked her while she was on the ground.

The assault left her with swelling to the eyes and cheekbone and a bloody nose.
During the incident, a relative attempted to intervene. Ladd then left the property with a hammer and went on to smash the windows of 15 cars in the street before being stopped by police.

The court also heard that Ladd had previous convictions for domestic violence.
Magistrates described the incident as a sustained domestic attack involving repeated kicking while the victim was on the ground.

Ladd was sentenced to 18 months in prison and given a two-year restraining order prohibiting him from entering Lowestoft.

We have also received information alleging that since this incident he has continued to be abusive towards other partners and has spent further time in prison, however, as previously stated we’re unable to locate any public information to confirm this.

For this reason, anyone who may currently be in a relationship with him or considering entering into one with Paul is strongly advised to consider making a Clare’s Law (Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme) request through the police.
