A 35-year-old woman has been jailed for 50 weeks after breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order just days after it was issued.
Samantha Franklin, of Cove House Gardens, Ashton Keynes, had received the order on 8th December 2025, alongside a suspended prison sentence, after pleading guilty to creating hundreds of child sex abuse images.
More than 200 of the 500 images Franklin had were deemed to be in the most serious category, showing the rape or torture of young children
Her crimes were described in court as “abhorrent”
Franklin was arrested again on 13th January 2026 and charged with five separate breaches of the order. She appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court the following day, where she pleaded guilty to all charges.
Franklin was sentenced to nearly a year behind bars and ordered to pay a £187 surcharge.
