❌VICTORIA DONALD aka VICTORIA BENTLEY – ILKESTON / DERBYSHIRE ❌
A serious warning has been issued in relation to Victoria Donald, who also goes by the name Victoria Bentley, following a violent knife incident in Ilkeston and subsequent safeguarding concerns raised by authorities.
In September 2021, during a confrontation outside her former partner’s family home on Kenilworth Drive, Ilkeston, Victoria Donald stabbed her ex-partner’s brother, causing a wound that left “blood all over the floor” inside the victim’s home.
The incident began after an exchange of angry messages between the parties. Donald and her brother arrived at the address shortly after 1am, where a confrontation took place in the street. During the altercation, the victim pushed her away; as he turned, he felt a sharp “sting” in his arm and realised he had been stabbed. He ran back inside the house while bleeding heavily.
Later that same evening, Donald sent hostile Facebook messages to the victim’s partner, mocking the situation and using abusive language.
At Nottingham Crown Court, Donald pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and possession of a bladed article.
Judge Michael Auty KC told her she had come “within a hair’s breadth” of being sent straight to prison, stressing the seriousness of knife crime and the potential for fatal consequences.
Donald received:
• A two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years
• 200 hours of unpaid work
• 35 rehabilitation activity sessions
The judge noted that the only reason she was not jailed immediately was the long passage of time, her asserted personal changes since the offence, and the welfare of her children.
According to safeguarding professionals, at the time of the attack Donald left her two children—both under the age of ten—alone at home in the early hours of the morning while she carried out the stabbing.
Due to the seriousness of the incident and wider concerns about risk, her children were removed from her care, and social services have reportedly advised that she must not have contact with children without appropriate safeguarding oversight.
Donald has since become pregnant again. Concerns have also been noted regarding the father of her new child, who has previous involvement with police for domestic abuse following reports of violence in front of a baby.
Multiple warnings have been issued to individuals and families stating that Donald should not be permitted unsupervised access to children.
