AN evil mum from Lancashire has been jailed after she burned a young boy with cigarettes and forced him to eat dog food while he was in her care.

Siann Cawley, 27, from Fleetwood, Lancashire, has now been jailed for four years and three months after she appeared at Preston Crown Court

She pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing held on September 2, having been charged with assault (ABH), ill-treatment, neglect and abandonment.

While Cawley is a mum, the victim was not one of her kids.

The court heard the boy had suffered a number of injuries and vile bullying and verbal abuse while in Cawley’s care over a three-week period.

Cawley was said to have stubbed out lit cigarettes on the child and forced him to eat pet food whilst mocking him.

He was also locked inside a room by himself for hours while Cawley left the house.

Cawley is serving her sentence at HMP Styal in Cheshire.
