❌ROSS PARKHOUSE – NORTH DEVON❌
CONVICTED | Ross Parkhouse, 35, a convicted child abuser from Barnstaple, North Devon – watched as his bull-breed dogs starved.
Sadistic monster Parkhouse was prosecuted in relation to a white American bulldog called Duke and a grey Staffy-type dog called Blue (both pictured) after leaving them to starve over a prolonged period.
Blue was found barely alive and in a skeletal condition. He was passing non-food objects in his faeces, having not been able to find food in the property, said the RSPCA.
Duke was found dead in emaciated bodily condition. Post-mortem examination showed he had died from starvation.
Two other dogs pictured in the top-right photo, are currently unaccounted for though we’ve heard that the spaniel, Charlie, was also starved to death and his remains found wrapped in plastic in Parkhouse’s garden shed.
In mitigation for his vile actions, Parkhouse said his drug addiction had taken over and he was sorry harm had come to the dogs.
In sentencing, the chair of the bench described the hearing as “one most distressing and horrific cases this bench has ever heard”.
They said Parkhouse watched the dogs starve and subjected them to terrible, prolonged suffering. There was a failure to seek help from other agencies and evidence of dogs eating wood and leather, having failed to find food in the house.
Blue has now fully recovered in the care of the RSPCA.
Sentencing | 18-week immediate custodial sentence. Banned indefinitely from keeping animals and cannot apply for the order to be terminated for 30 years.

In 2017 Parkhouse was sentenced to three years in jail for child cruelty after subjecting five half-siblings aged between four and 11 to a “catalogue of abuse”.
The court heard he made the children watch as he shot their pet rabbit in the living room of their house in Barnstaple and told one he would kill her if she revealed his assaults.
He hit, slapped and kicked the children, grabbed them by the throat, and threw aerosol canisters at their heads, Exeter Crown Court was told.
Parkhouse was left in charge of the children after their parents became ill. The violence allegedly started within months and went on for several years until the children told their grandmother and aunt what had been happening.
They had covered up the abuse during that time by telling teachers, friends, and relations that cuts and bruises were caused by household accidents or being scratched by a cat.
The children alleged he smashed mobile phones they had been given as Christmas presents to prevent them calling for help.
The oldest said she was kicked, strangled, scalded by hot drinks, and witnessed the shooting of the family’s pat rabbit.
The next said she was grabbed by the face, punched, slapped and had items thrown at her. She was left with a large bruise after being kicked.
She said Parkhouse made her watch a video which showed him and a friend beheading her pet chicken.
The others described being hit with objects including an aerosol can, having their hair pulled, and being slapped.
The jury were shown the oldest girl’s video interview, in which she cried almost constantly.
She said: “I remember we had a rabbit in a cage at the first house we lived at. He got it out and shot it in the head. We all screamed. He slapped us in the face and punched my sister in the face.
”He said if I told anyone he would kill me or have us all taken into care and that we would get separated.
“He said he hated us all. He called us worthless bitches.”
Parkhouse denied the charges but we understand he was convicted and jailed for three years.
