Paul Davis (Wells, Somerset) was sentenced on 16 August 2025 after pleading guilty to five offences of domestic violence committed against his former partner.

He admitted to one count of assault by beating, two counts of actual bodily harm (ABH), and two counts of non-fatal strangulation.

The offences took place over the course of their relationship and were supported by police and medical evidence.

He was remanded in custody prior to sentencing and is now a convicted domestic abuser.

He got 37 months, minus time served (6 months) minus 10% for guilty plea so around 33 months
