❌PARIS WILSON – PLYMOUTH❌
2025 – Former Probation Worker Charged Over Fatal Acid Attack on Ex-Partner
Paris Wilson, a former probation worker from Plymouth, has appeared in court charged in connection with a fatal acid attack on her ex-partner, Danny Cahalane, who died weeks after suffering catastrophic injuries.
Wilson, 34, of The Quay, Plymouth, is accused of being involved in a conspiracy to kidnap and murder Mr Cahalane, who was attacked at his home in the early hours of 21 February 2025 while his young daughter was asleep inside the property. The assault involved sulphuric acid being thrown on the victim, causing life-changing injuries from which he later died in hospital.
Following Mr Cahalane’s death in May, the charges were upgraded and Wilson is now among several defendants facing allegations including murder, conspiracy to kidnap, and participation in the criminal activity of an organised crime group. She has also been charged with related offences connected to the planning and execution of the attack.
The case has drawn particular attention due to Wilson’s former professional background. She previously worked as a probation officer in Plymouth and had also volunteered within the prison system, roles which involved supporting offenders with rehabilitation, housing and employment. Sources have said her arrest has caused shock among those who knew her in a professional capacity.
Prosecutors allege that the attack was targeted rather than random, and that Wilson was involved in coordinating others to carry out the offence. Several men from London and two women from Plymouth have also been charged as part of the same investigation.
Wilson has appeared before the courts and has been remanded in custody. She has not entered a plea at this stage. The case is due to proceed to a trial at Winchester Crown Court, provisionally scheduled for 2026.
Mr Cahalane’s family have described him as a devoted father and said they are struggling to come to terms with his death. Police have stated that the investigation remains ongoing and have urged anyone with further information to come forward.
