❌NATHAN LOCKLEY – STOKE ON TRENT❌
Bully Boyfriend Jailed After Vicious Attack on Third Partner
A violent offender from Newcastle-under-Lyme has been branded a “danger to women” after carrying out a terrifying assault on his third partner.
Nathan Lockley, 29, of Vale View, Newcastle, was jailed for 42 months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm, making threats to kill, and causing grievous bodily harm.
The court heard that Lockley and his partner had been out drinking on May 26 before returning to his home around 2am. An argument broke out as soon as they entered the property. Lockley punched the woman in the face at least twice, pushed her around, and kicked her, causing her to fall down the stairs.
As she tried to get away, Lockley ripped her clothes and threatened her with a hammer. She managed to flee the house and raised the alarm at a nearby petrol station.
Prosecutor James Hudson told the court that Lockley had also threatened to kill the victim and her family in messages on Facebook and even sent a video of her grandmother’s home, threatening to burn it down.
Recorder Robert Smith said Lockley’s behaviour was “disgusting” and that he posed a serious risk to women.
“You are a convicted domestic abuser,” the judge told him. “You are a dangerous man, and I think you are a danger to women. You were arrested and told police officers a pack of lies during your interview. This was a prolonged incident involving punches, kicks, and threats with a hammer.”
The court was told Lockley had previously served prison sentences in 2016 and 2022 for violent assaults on two other ex-partners. He has 20 convictions for 33 offences, many involving violence.
Recorder Smith added:
“You are a bully and a coward. You condone violence, particularly towards women. Your next partner is your next potential victim.”
In a separate incident, Lockley also broke another man’s jaw after a fight at The Auctioneer pub in Hanley. The victim required metal plates and screws to repair the damage.
Lockley’s 42-month sentence reflects both attacks and his record of repeat offending.
