📝 Case Summary:
Kobi Dougan, from Norton, Stockton on Tees, has been jailed after two brutal attacks on young women. In one instance, he assaulted his girlfriend after going through her phone, punching and kicking her repeatedly, then threatening her with a machete and telling her she “wasn’t going to exist any more”. She only escaped by climbing out of a window while he was distracted.
Another woman was also assaulted while Dougan was already on bail. He struck her in the face, threw her on a bed, and caused facial injuries including a suspected fractured cheekbone. Both victims have been left with long-lasting psychological trauma, anxiety, and fear of men and public spaces.
Despite his age, Dougan’s violent behaviour was described by the judge as “volatile and dangerous”, leaving two young women terrified and injured. He has shown a pattern of coercive, controlling and physically abusive behaviour.
