❌KEVIN KEELEY – BLYTH / WALLSEND❌
Concerns Raised Over History of Domestic Abuse
Kevin Keeley, from the Blyth and Wallsend areas, history of prolonged coercive and abusive behaviour during previous relationships also publicly posted indecent images without consent.
Keeley is said to have engaged in a pattern of intimidation and control. Reported incidents include threats to burn down a property, preventing social contact, restricting day-to-day activities, and taking bank cards to limit independence. Accounts also describe him spitting, throwing objects, and using manipulation by threatening self-harm whenever attempts were made to leave the relationship.
Clare’s Law and Public Safety
The case has prompted reminders about Clare’s Law, formally known as the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS). Under Clare’s Law, individuals who feel concerned about a partner’s past behaviour can apply for a disclosure through the police, who may share relevant information if there is a genuine risk of harm. The scheme is designed to help protect potential future partners and enable people to make informed decisions about their safety.
Authorities encourage anyone experiencing coercive, threatening, or abusive behaviour to seek support through the police or local domestic-abuse services.
