❌JORDAN EVANS – REDCAR/MIDDLESBROUGH❌
SPURNED STALKER’S TASER THREAT: MAN PULLED WEAPON AND MADE CHILLING THREATS AFTER AFFAIR ENDED
A jealous stalker who terrorised a woman and her partner with a taser-style weapon after their affair ended has been spared jail — but warned by a judge: “Don’t you dare upset these people again.”
Jordan Evans, from the Redcar and Middlesbrough area, launched a frightening campaign of harassment after his relationship broke down, making threats to kill, stalking his victims, and even producing a Taser-like electrical device which he held inches from a man’s body while growling, “I’ll do you both.”
The court heard how Evans’ behaviour spiralled out of control after the break-up, leaving his victims terrified. He repeatedly contacted the woman, made vile threats about her children and baby, and turned up uninvited at her home.
Neighbours described the situation as “relentless and frightening,” with Evans refusing to accept that the relationship was over.
⚡ “He held it near him and said, ‘I’ll do you both’”
The most terrifying incident came when Evans produced a Taser-style weapon that gave off an electric spark between two metal prongs. Witnesses said he raised it towards the woman’s new partner and hissed: “I’ll do you both.”
Police were called and arrested Evans, who later admitted his involvement. The device, described in court as “capable of discharging an electrical current,” was seized by officers.
💔 Campaign of fear
Prosecutors said the stalking and threats followed the end of the affair. Evans bombarded the woman with messages, turned up at her home, and made chilling remarks about her family, including threats to harm a baby and young children.
The harassment escalated until the woman, terrified for her safety, went to the police.
One local resident said: “It was like something out of a nightmare. She tried to move on, but he just wouldn’t stop. The night he pulled out that taser thing — everyone thought someone was going to get seriously hurt.”
⚖️ Court outcome
At Teesside Magistrates’ Court, Evans admitted offences linked to harassment and possession of a weapon capable of delivering an electrical discharge.
Judge told him bluntly: “I don’t want you to upset these people again.”
Instead of jail, Evans was handed an 18-month community order with 20 days of rehabilitation activity aimed at addressing his behaviour.
He was also hit with a five-year restraining order, banning him from contacting the victims or going within 100 yards of their home.
The judge warned that any breach of the order would land him straight behind bars.
🚨 “He should’ve gone to prison”
Speaking after sentencing, a friend of the victim said: “She’s relieved it’s over but disappointed he didn’t go to prison. He terrified her and her family. Hopefully this restraining order keeps him away.”
Campaigners against domestic abuse said the case showed the danger of stalking behaviour escalating into violence. “Too many victims are left living in fear,” one advocate said. “Even when there’s no physical injury, the psychological damage can last for years.”
