❌GEORGIA BILHAM – CHESHIRE❌
CCTV was shown to a court of a disguise worn by a woman pretending to be a man to trick a severely short-sighted woman into kissing her.
Georgia Bilham, 21, masqueraded as George Parry during a relationship with her 19-year-old victim.
She would keep her hood up to hide her long blonde hair, and it would stay up even when the pair slept together.
Putting on a deep Birmingham accent, she would tell her victim the hood was up because she was “paranoid” of ties to an Albanian drugs gang.
A court heard Bilham was able to maintain her “web of lies” by taking away her victim’s glasses when they met, leaving her “essentially blind”.
Bilham, from Alpraham in Cheshire, faced 17 charges of sexually assaulting her victim during a relationship between May and August 2021.
On Wednesday, she was found guilty of one sexual assault by kissing – but not guilty of 16 other sexual offences.
New CCTV footage shows Bilham donning her disguise and buying what appears to be sweets at a petrol station. She is seen with a navy blue hoodie over her head and grey tracksuit trousers, appearing like a boy. During the interaction with the cashier, she repeatedly tugs down on the hoodie and looks down before leaving.
Chester Crown Court heard the pair began messaging on Snapchat, where Bilham operated under the online persona George Parry.
Bilham told the court how they eventually met up but after their first meet the complainant messaged her saying “there’s something weird about you” and blocked her on Snapchat. But the “love-hate relationship” continued and became “toxic” at times.
The victim added that on two occasions when they met, she felt some sort of “hard willy figure” through George’s clothing.
Bilham’s cover was blown when her victim’s mum became suspicious before telling her daughter George was a girl. The victim was left “sick” after investigating George on social media and finding out it was actually Bilham.
Bilham said she believed she was uncovered after crashing her mum’s car into a hedge while out for a drive with the teenager on May 11, 2021.
When speaking to police, the victim heard Bilham give her real name. She then confronted her after learning who “he” really was, writing in a message: “Just admit you’ve been caught out, I know more than enough now.”
Bilham replied: “I don’t even dress like a lad, it just took over my life.”
She admitted pretending to be George, saying she got trapped in a “web of lies”. She told the court it was not for sexual gratification nor to trick the woman into sex. She admitted having sexual activity with the woman but claimed the teenager knew she was female.
The prosecution said the woman couldn’t have fully consented to the sexual activity because she believed George was really male.
Bilham denied nine counts of sexual assault and eight counts of assault by penetration.
Judge Michael Leeming told her: “You have been convicted of count one, an allegation of sexual assault.”
Bilham was sentenced to a 24-month community order, must complete 150 hours of unpaid work, and was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
