Damian Homer

📍 Damian Homer – Worcester

Location: Worcester

📝 Summary

Damian Homer, 51, was convicted of murder and attempted murder in November 2024 after launching a brutal attack on his partner and her mother while their two young children were at home.

On March 2, 2024, Homer violently stabbed Stacey Hill and her mother Wendy Francis. Wendy, 61, died at the scene, while Stacey was left with life-threatening injuries. Despite being critically injured, Stacey recounted Homer asking her for a kiss during the attack and hearing the sound of her mother being stabbed.

Wendy had arrived at the home after Stacey called her in fear, having spotted a knife in Homer’s pocket. Upon police arrival, Homer stood at the door with blood-stained clothes and attempted to blame the women, claiming self-defense — a version contradicted by evidence and the testimonies of Stacey and the couple’s children.

The children, present during the attack, later told social workers chilling accounts of the violence. One described their father as “bad” while recounting the events with dolls. Homer had a previous suspended sentence for assaulting Stacey in 2020 and a history of threats and controlling behaviour.

Messages revealed Stacey had tried to end the relationship on the day of the murder, and her aunt had called emergency services after Stacey reported the knife. Despite her injuries, Stacey’s detailed testimony and corroborating evidence led to Homer pleading guilty.
