⚠️ Online Safety Warning – Child Protection Sting
On 12 January 2025, a child protection organisation in Scotland conducted a successful online sting operation targeting suspected child grooming and exploitation.
The sting involved a decoy posing as a 14-year-old. Chris Grant allegedly engaged with the decoy, sending inappropriate messages and media. After sufficient evidence was gathered, he was confronted and reported to the relevant authorities.

- Engaging in sexual communications with a person believed to be underage
- Attempted grooming of a minor
- Sending indecent images and videos
- Encouraging harmful sexual activity
Child protection teams stress that this case is a stark reminder of the threats young people face online, and the urgent need for digital vigilance.
