A 34-year-old woman who attacked a man with a broken glass bottle has been jailed.
Cassie Evans, of Watery Road, Wrexham struck the victim to the neck with the piece of glass following an unprovoked attack.
The incident on Lord Street, Wrexham happened shortly after 7pm, on 18 August.
CCTV footage played in court showed Evans walking to a bin and smashing a bottle on it. She then “struck the victim in the neck with the neck of the broken bottle”.
The bottle was pushed into the victim’s neck. The court was told that: “It was a determined assault. It seems that the defendant was intent on inflicting a significant wound.”
The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
Evans admitted charges of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon
She was jailed for two years and nine months.
She was also issued a five-year restraining order to protect the victim.
