⚠️ Charges & Convictions:

  • Guilty of GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm)
  • Sentenced to 32 months imprisonment

📝 Case Summary:

Beau Williamson launched a brutal and sustained attack on his ex-partner, Lucy Harper, in the early hours of Christmas Day, leaving her with serious injuries including a fractured fibula, broken finger, and a brain bleed.

At around 12:50am on December 25th, a neighbour heard Lucy screaming: “Help me, help me, he is going to kill me.” She was found by police covered in blood and visibly shaken. Inside her home, police discovered bloodstains and broken glass, highlighting the violent nature of the assault.

Lucy was taken to hospital where medics confirmed multiple injuries: fractured bones, head lacerations, and facial bruising. She feared for her life during the prolonged assault, which occurred while her children were upstairs.

Williamson had fallen asleep at her home and suddenly turned violent upon waking, punching her repeatedly. He pleaded guilty to GBH. Although he was originally charged with GBH with intent, that charge was dropped due to lack of support from the victim for prosecution.

Judge Christopher Prince described the incident as a “persistent and prolonged assault” and highlighted the vulnerability of the victim. Williamson was labelled a high risk to Lucy and a medium-to-low risk to the public.

🚨 Additional Notes:

  • Previous history of violence and domestic abuse
  • Convicted of battery against a previous partner
  • History of damaging property and threatening behaviour
