A registered sex offender used multiple online aliases to chat with teenage girls less than two months after being released from prison.

Aron Galeziowski, 39, posed as a 15-year-old using a series of secret social media accounts in order to mislead youngsters.

His covert offending using five fake identities was unearthed after specialist police public protection officers carried out a routine search.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told it came following his release from prison after serving a six-year and six months sentence for multiple sexual offences involving the grooming of minors.

Jenny Holt, prosecuting, said: “He went straight back to his offending behaviour. If this had continued unchecked, who knows where it would have ended.”

Galeziowski, who told the court he was of no fixed abode but is from the Watton area, pleaded guilty to three breaches of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) including not registering electronic devices and contact with under-16s.

Evidence downloaded during the police search on April 3 last year discovered he had been using the aliases to set up Facebook and Telegram accounts used to initiate chats with two 15-year-old girls and a 14-year-old.

Also using the Zangi private messaging service he told two of the teens that he was aged 15, sending a picture to one and asking another if she wanted to be friends.

The court was told when his chat turned sexual one of the girls had threatened to raise the alarm saying she was only 15.

Ms Holt said: “These were very serious and persistent breaches.”

Magistrates said their powers were insufficient and committed him to be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on May 7.

Galeziowski was placed on the sex offenders’ register for an indefinite period after being jailed in 2018.

He was also made subject to ongoing monitoring of his activities post-release.
