❌ ANTHONY BEARDMORE – WARRINGTON ❌
Anthony Beardmore, was sentenced to 16 weeks in custody after admitting stalking, assault, and criminal damage during a hearing at Warrington Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that ongoing disagreements regarding child contact had led to a series of incidents in which Beardmore repeatedly attempted to make unwanted contact with his former partner. After numerous failed attempts to reach her, he attended her home and climbed up a drainpipe, causing it to break, before entering the property through an open bathroom window.
Beardmore’s actions formed part of a pattern of behaviour that left the victim distressed and fearful, the court was told. His guilty pleas were entered at the first opportunity, and magistrates imposed an immediate custodial sentence.
🔎 Clare’s Law – Important Reminder
Under the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (Clare’s Law), anyone with concerns about a partner or an ex-partner can request information from the police to find out whether that person has a history of violence or abuse.
This can help protect individuals from potentially dangerous relationships.
