2021. A woman who sexually attacked a two-year-old child in a bid to make money from online paedophiles was jailed for six years today.

Abigail Kikke, 27, perpetrated the abuse on the little girl and distributed indecent images of children including her assault victim.

A judge told Kikke at the High Court in Edinburgh this court hears every day accounts of utterly horrific behaviour, often directed against vulnerable victims.

But Lord Sandison added: “Some cases, however, retain their ability truly to shock and this is one of them.”
The judge told Kikke she would have faced a sentence of nine years imprisonment, but for her guilty pleas in the case.

Lord Sandison said that she will now be on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely following her sentencing for the crimes.

Kikke, formerly of Sutherland Avenue, Alloa, in Clackmannanshire, earlier admitted sexually assaulting the young child between March 18 and 26 at a house in Cumbernauld, in North Lanarkshire.

During the abuse she carried out a sex act on herself and exposed herself to the little girl.

She also pleaded guilty to taking, possessing and distributing indecent photos of children, including her victim.

The court heard that on March 26 in 2020 police received intelligence that Kikke had used a social networking service, Kik Messenger, to distribute an indecent image.

Kikke had sent an internet user a video which was one minute and 58 seconds long showing her and the child naked.
She was caught with 69 indecent images with her victim appearing in 11
still and moving images. Some images had been deleted.

Prosecutor Shanti Maguire said: “One of the images had been sent by the accused to an internet user known as ‘Daddy’.”

Other images showed children as young as three or four.

She was also found to have been in contact with another internet user known as ‘Hollow’ who asked her to perform sex acts on the girl.

Ms Maguire said: “She told ‘Hollow’ that she sent ‘Daddy’ images of her and the girl and that he was willing to pay her pounds 4000.”

Unemployed Kikke claimed during a chat that she was in debt, self-isolating and struggling with no human contact other than through her phone.

One of her online contacts claimed that he was a successful stock trader who would take her abroad on holiday.
During a conversation with another male they conversed about children and she was told the user was “sexually aroused”.

Kikke sent images of the girl to him while she received an image of a male and female children. The prosecutor said: “The user has been identified as a 43-year-old man, Gary Smith, who lived in Wigan.”

He has since been jailed in England for sexual offences, including ones arising from his conversation with Kikke.

Defence counsel Ronnie Renucci QC said: “I accept and recognise, as indeed does she, that she has pled guilty to very serious charges and as such she recognises a custodial sentence is inevitable.”

He said Kikke was anxious to address any issues she may have during her sentence.

Mr Renucci said: “The picture painted is of a somewhat inadequate individual who is now socially isolated. She really is a very lonely figure.”

Kikke followed today’s sentencing proceedings via a video link to prison.
