📝 SURVIVOR’S STATEMENT & IMPACT:
The victim was knocked unconscious by Salter, and upon regaining consciousness, had a pint glass smashed in her face, causing permanent scarring to her nose and chin. The assault left her bleeding, physically disfigured, and emotionally traumatised.
Salter, 38, had been drinking and taking pills when he committed the attack. Afterward, he manipulated police by lying about the situation and continued to harass the victim after his release. His abuse caused her to flee her home, live in fear, and suffer from nightmares and emotional trauma.
