Christopher Michael Lewis, from Erwlas, Parclyn in Aberporth, pleaded not guilty to an alleged assault in Cardigan on June 16. He also denied a separate charge of causing criminal damage to a table.

The 28-year-old was released on conditional bail by magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre and is scheduled to return to court for trial on August 13.

Lewis, of Brynglas, was also issued with a two-year restraining order.

Christopher Lewis, aged 32, had previously been made subject to a non-molestation order by Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on October 4 last year.

He later admitted breaching that order between December 24 and December 28.

On June 1, at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court, he received a one-year community order. As part of the sentence, he must complete 40 hours of unpaid work and attend 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He must also pay £85 in costs and a £114 surcharge.
