❌KAI HORROCKS – BOLTON❌
Man Given Suspended Sentence for Assaults on Partner and Police Officer
A 24-year-old man has been handed a 21-month prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, after admitting multiple assaults on his former partner and an attack on a police officer.
Kai Horrocks appeared in court after a year-long relationship during which he repeatedly grabbed his partner’s arm, pushed her to the floor, forced her down stairs, and head-butted her, causing injuries including cuts to her nose.
On 14 November 2022, Horrocks punched a police officer, PC Chapman, in the face, then fled custody before being recaptured. While on bail in February 2023, he breached his conditions, contacting and assaulting the same victim again by dragging her by the hair and issuing threats.
At sentencing, the judge considered Horrocks’s youth and his engagement with rehabilitation work but highlighted the serious pattern of offending. As part of the suspended sentence, Horrocks must complete:
• an alcohol abstinence monitoring programme,
• a drug rehabilitation programme,
• 25 days of rehabilitation activities, and
• comply with a five-year restraining order.
