❌PAUL CRAIG – MIDDLESBROUGH ❌
Local Man Sentenced for Harassment Following Guilty Plea
Middlesbrough – Paul Craig Longworth, 42, has been sentenced to 20 months in prison after pleading guilty to harassment that caused the victim to fear for their safety. The sentencing took place at Teesside Crown Court on December 19, 2024.
In addition to the custodial sentence, Longworth was issued a 10-year restraining order and ordered to pay a £187 victim surcharge. Court documents indicate that the victim’s personal statement was read aloud during proceedings, detailing the impact of Longworth’s behaviour.
The restraining order, in effect until December 18, 2034, prohibits Longworth from contacting the victim directly or indirectly, and restricts him from entering certain specified locations. Court officials emphasized that violating any part of the order is a criminal offence that could carry a prison sentence of up to five years.
This conviction adds to Longworth’s criminal history, which includes previous offences related to domestic abuse.
Members of the public concerned about potential risks can request information about an individual’s past domestic abuse offences under Clare’s Law (the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme).
