❌CARL EVERALL – CREWE❌
2019 – Former Youth Football Coach Ordered to Undergo Sexual Offenders Programme
A former youth football coach who attempted to groom a teenage girl has been ordered to complete a sexual offenders treatment programme.
Carl Everall, 28, of Haweswater Avenue, Crewe, coached Crewe Alexandra’s youth team and had previously worked at Port Vale. He was suspended in October 2018 after allegations came to light.
At Chester Crown Court, Everall admitted to engaging in sexual communication with a child. Cheshire Constabulary said he had sent inappropriate messages to the girl via Snapchat over a period of nine months. The messages escalated in severity and only stopped when Everall was arrested in September 2018. He admitted to police that his conduct was inappropriate and acknowledged the potential impact on young people.
Det Con Gail Burndred noted that Everall had received safeguarding training as part of his coaching career. She also praised the victim for showing “great maturity” during the investigation.
Everall was handed a three-year community order, including a 35-day rehabilitation activity requirement, a sexual harm prevention order, and was required to sign the sex offenders register for five years.
