❌JOANNE FOSTER – MACCLESFIELD❌
Former Justice Campaigner Jailed for Sexual Offences and Possession of Indecent Images
A former NHS worker and justice campaigner has been sentenced for sexual offences and possession of indecent images of children.
Joanne Foster, 44, of Macclesfield, admitted a series of offences following a police investigation in April 2017, during which her then-partner, Gary Keenan, 43, was also arrested.
The investigation found devices belonging to both Foster and Keenan contained indecent images of children. Prosecutors said Keenan encouraged Foster to engage in risky sexual activity.
Foster pleaded guilty to possessing 16 Category A, 18 Category B, and 69 Category C indecent images of children under 16. Keenan admitted to possessing a larger quantity of indecent and extreme images.
During the investigation, the court also heard that images showed Foster performing sexual acts outdoors. Foster told the court that she was influenced by her partner and blamed him for the offences.
Foster had previously campaigned for tougher manslaughter sentences after her long-term partner died following a “one-punch” attack in 2009.
The court case highlights the serious consequences of involvement in child sexual exploitation and the risks of coercion and influence in relationships.
