Ethan Allan, 26, from Glasgow, was jailed in 2025 for 18 months after threatening to throw his partner out of a window during a fiery argument at her home in East Kilbride. The relationship had lasted only two weeks. A charge of brandishing a machete was dropped. His violent and threatening behaviour, combined with previous convictions, resulted in a custodial sentence and a non-harassment order.
This came after a separate incident in 2023, when Allan, 24 at the time, assaulted a previous partner after she jokingly taped pizza to his face while he slept. Enraged after receiving a photo of it from a friend, Allan headbutted the woman, made repeated threats to kill her, and punched her in the face, breaking two front teeth. He also withheld her anxiety medication, controlled how she dressed, and ordered her to accompany him to the bathroom out of paranoia. The abusive relationship spanned several months.
Allan pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of domestic abuse and was sentenced to 25 months in prison in late 2023. A five-year restraining order was imposed to protect the victim.
