Kieran Bond, 32, of Oak Road in Bursledon was handed six life sentences at Southampton Crown Court after being found guilty at trial of a total of six charges of raping two children under ten.

He will serve a minimum term of 16 years, for four counts of rape of a boy aged under 13, and two counts of rape of a girl aged under 13.

The offences took place between 2018 and 2021.

As well as the time Bond will now serve in prison, he has also been made subject to the sex offenders register and restraining orders.

These incidents took place in Eastleigh in 2018.

During sentencing, statements from Bond’s two young victims were read out by Simon Foster, prosecuting.

The boy told the court that he wanted Bond to hurt.

He said: “The last five years have been really hard. My emotions have disappeared. I feel numb. I am an empty human.

“I want him to hurt like me. He has ruined me in every way.

“I can’t be in the shower because I think bad thoughts.

“I don’t feel safe unless I am with my parents.”

The female victim told the court how Bond told her to keep quiet about what he did to her.

She said: “I find it so hard to trust. I can’t hug my dad.

“He is waiting in the dark corners of my dreams to hurt me again.

“I hate Kieran Bond for what he has done.

“There isn’t a day where I don’t think about it.

“I will not let Kieran take any more of my childhood from me.”

During sentencing, Judge Gary Lucie praised the children for their courage in coming forward during the trial.
