❌JORDAN BOWRMAN – AIRDRIE, SCOTLAND❌
Airdrie man convicted of rape and assaulting multiple women
Airdrie man Jordan Bowman, 27, has been convicted at the High Court in Glasgow for a series of violent and abusive offences against several young women — including the rape of a teenage girl.
Bowman was found guilty of four charges following a trial before Lord Richardson. The offences took place between July 2012 and December 2019 at various addresses across Lanarkshire and Glasgow’s East End.
The court heard that Bowman first attacked a teenage girl in a tent in a garden, and later subjected two other women to repeated assaults. One woman was punched, kicked, and stamped on, dragged by the hair, spat on, and burned with a lighter. Another woman was struck with objects including a motorbike helmet, bottle, and phone, leaving her permanently disfigured.
Bowman denied all the allegations but was found guilty after trial. He was remanded in custody and placed on the sex offenders register. Sentencing will take place later this year at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Previous conviction
In 2020, Bowman was jailed for more than two years after admitting to a campaign of abuse against a former partner in Glasgow. During that earlier case, he left the woman with cuts and bruises, then sent a photo of her injuries to another person while boasting about what he had done.
He also rammed her car twice while a child was inside. Bowman pleaded guilty to domestic abuse, dangerous driving, and breaching a non-harassment order and bail conditions.
