❌CONOR SHERWOOD – CORBY❌
Corby Man Jailed Over Major Drug Network Between Liverpool and Northamptonshire Further Sentence for Coercive and Controlling Behaviour
Conor Sherwood, from Corby, was one of more than a dozen offenders sentenced for his part in a large‑scale drugs operation that supplied cocaine and heroin across the East Midlands.
According to police, the network moved drugs from Liverpool into Northamptonshire using a fleet of cars fitted with secret compartments and so‑called “burner” phones to arrange deals.
Sherwood was identified as one of the Corby‑based distributors. Officers recovered large quantities of drugs and cash during coordinated raids carried out by Northamptonshire Police and Merseyside Police.
At Leicester Crown Court, Sherwood received a four‑year prison sentence for conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Detectives said the investigation dismantled an organised‑crime group responsible for “significant harm in our communities”.

Further Sentence for Coercive and Controlling Behaviour
After his drugs conviction, Sherwood was brought back before the court for a separate case involving a former partner. He admitted coercive and controlling behaviour, an offence that included violent and threatening conduct inside their relationship.
The court heard that during the relationship he had thrown the victim against a wall, spat at her, pulled her hair, and forced her into a car before driving off. Prosecutors said the woman was left terrified and traumatised.
Sherwood was sentenced to a further 12 months in prison, to run consecutively to his earlier term, and made subject to a 10‑year restraining order banning him from any contact with the victim.

Police Comment
Investigators described Sherwood as a repeat offender with a long criminal record. They said the additional sentence sent “a clear message that controlling or violent behaviour will not be tolerated”.
