❌BRENNAN WILLIAMS – DONCASTER/BARNSLEY❌
Doncaster Man Previously Jailed for Domestic Abuse Released from Prison
A Doncaster man previously jailed for domestic abuse has recently been released after serving a 23-month sentence for a series of violent offences.
Brennan Williams, 27, of Askern Road, Bentley, was convicted following assaults and threats to kill that took place during an abusive relationship. He was remanded in custody in 2023 and later sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court.
Court documents and police records confirm that Williams was charged with multiple counts of assault, intentional strangulation, and making threats to kill.
According to official victim liaison correspondence, strict licence conditions are in place following his release, including a ban on contacting his victim and an exclusion zone covering Balby, Askern, Doncaster city centre, and Pontefract. These restrictions remain in force until 2026, alongside a restraining order valid until 2031.
The survivor of the abuse has described enduring both financial and physical control throughout the relationship and says she hopes speaking out will help protect other women.
Anyone who has concerns about domestic abuse or fears for their safety is urged to contact police on 999 in an emergency or seek advice from Women’s Aid or the National Domestic Abuse Helpline (0808 2000 247).
