❌DAVID CARMEDY – BISHOP AUCKLAND, COUNTY DURHAM❌
Darlington Man Sentenced for Breach of Non-Molestation Order and Stalking
A County Durham man has appeared in court after being convicted of stalking and breaching a non-molestation order.
David Vincent Carmedy was sentenced at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on June 19, 2025, where he faced two charges — breach of a non-molestation order and stalking.
The court heard that Carmedy had repeatedly ignored legal restrictions placed upon him and had previously been convicted of battery in an earlier case.
Magistrates imposed a suspended sentence order, alongside a restraining order prohibiting further contact with the victim.
Carmedy was also ordered to pay £187 in court costs and £650 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
A court spokesperson confirmed that the suspended sentence means any further offences during the suspension period could result in imprisonment.
