Grimsby Man Jailed for Campaign of Abuse
Grimsby, UK — A 24-year-old man has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison after subjecting his partner to a prolonged campaign of physical and emotional abuse.
Quinn Isherwood, of Castle Street, Grimsby, appeared at Hull Crown Court where it was revealed that his violence spanned over an 18-month relationship, leaving the victim traumatised and fearful for her safety.
🔹 Offences included:
- Punching, kicking, and headbutting the victim
- Bending back her thumb during arguments
- Strangulation and damage to her teeth
- Regular verbal abuse and intimidation
- Confiscating her phone to control communication
- Stalking her and confronting her in public
Police intervention eventually brought the abuse to an end. During his arrest, Isherwood assaulted one of the officers.
The court heard he had 14 previous convictions related to criminal damage and drug offences.

“He has caused me and my family so much distress in such a short time. I hope I can just move on from all of this and have a happy life.”
⚖️ Sentencing:
- Three and a half years in prison
- Five-year restraining order
- No contact with the victim permitted
Judge Mark Bury described Isherwood’s behaviour as “persistent and damaging”, causing lasting emotional and psychological harm to the victim.
