? Denbigh Man Jailed After Brutal Assault on Partner
Denbigh, 2020 — Sean Williams, 32, of Vale Street, Denbigh, was jailed for four months after launching a vicious attack on his partner, in what magistrates called one of the worst common assaults they had ever seen.
⚠️ The Attack
- Williams punched his partner ten times during a violent outburst in October.
- He spat in her face and made disturbing threats to her and her family.
- The victim suffered a black eye, swelling, and bruises, and was treated in A&E.
- She described feeling “humiliated and degraded” after the assault.
? History of Violence
- Convicted for wounding in 2011.
- Has a long history of violent and criminal behaviour.
? Mental Health Note
Williams had recently been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and spent a month in the Ablett Unit at Glan Clwyd Hospital prior to the incident. His solicitor argued for leniency due to mental health, but the court refused.
⚖️ Sentencing
Llandudno Magistrates’ Court sentenced Williams to an immediate four-month prison term.
