📝 Case Summary:
Aidan Peter John Townhill-Rewston, 32, known publicly as Aidan Rewston, was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on 28th April 2025 by Judge Burlin.
He received a sentence of 25 months in prison, serving half on good behaviour, and was issued a 5-year restraining order protecting the victim.
The attack took place in the early hours of 4th December 2022 in Coventry. After attempting to drive drunk back to Hull, an altercation over his van keys escalated. He responded by putting his arm around the victim’s neck and repeatedly punching her in the face and head.
The victim suffered:
- Permanent nerve and bone damage
- A knocked-out tooth requiring an unaffordable implant
- Facial deformity and lip damage needing filler
- Severe PTSD, anxiety, and depression
Despite the trauma, the victim is speaking out so no one else has to experience the same.
