Shane Allen, of Holbury in Hampshire, has been jailed for sexually abusing a six-year-old girl. He was found guilty at Southampton Crown Court of sexual assault and sexual assault by penetration on a child under the age of 13.

The court heard how Allen showed no remorse for his actions. In the lead-up to the trial, he also attempted to intimidate and harass the child’s family. His behaviour during the case showed a complete lack of accountability or empathy for the victim.

Allen’s father is also reported to be a convicted paedophile. Despite the serious nature of the crime, Allen reportedly received support from friends and family throughout the trial.
