Mark Watson, 46, of Lowrey Terrace, Blackpool, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after raping a woman in Bolton in April 2024. He continued to harass and intimidate the victim after the assault, violating his bail conditions.
Watson was arrested in Blackpool by Lancashire Police, and later admitted the charge at Manchester Crown Court. He was sentenced to 8 years for the rape and an additional 2 years for his involvement in a drugs conspiracy.
The victim was left with PTSD and lasting trauma. Officers described the incident as a “terrifying ordeal.”
