Hugh Brown, 54, from Prestwick, was found guilty of 13 charges including rape and attempted rape, committed against two young girls over a decade in Ayr. His abuse included restraining one victim on a bed, violently attacking the other while she was asleep, and inflicting physical injuries such as head trauma and strangulation.
Both victims were commended by Judge John McCormick for their bravery in coming forward. He described Brown’s actions as “devastating and life-changing.”
Despite the overwhelming evidence and unanimous jury verdict, Brown continues to deny the offences. He is now on the sex offenders register for life and is barred from contacting either of the victims indefinitely.
